Josh's Personal Mission Statement
I exist to see others as a miracle of God, treating people with warmth, generosity, and radical love as I point them towards God's life-changing truths.
About Josh & His Family
Josh gets excited anytime he gets to talk about Jesus or the Bible. As he puts it, his whole goal in life is to help people understand they are a unique, unrepeatable miracle of God and to help them flourish with God's life-giving truths. In his teachings, Josh explains the original context of the Bible passage and shows how its truths apply to our lives.
He loves to learn about God and His world. He holds degrees in pastoral ministry (MDiv, Grand Rapids Theological Seminary) counseling (MA, Cornerstone University), and theology (ThM, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary). He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Biblical Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, specializing in the New Testament, later Old Testament prophets, and Second Temple Jewish literature.
His wife Vanlalhmachhuani (aka "Amy") is a native of the Mizo hill tribe of northeast India. She has degrees in English and Religious Education. In addition to being highly involved at NOCC, she also serves as a part-time hospital chaplain and teaches reading skills to elementary children. She is passionate about helping women embrace their identity in Christ and finding encouragement in His beautiful promises. Together, Josh and Amy have three grown children.
