Dave Kumer

Dave started as Discipleship Pastor at North Oak in October 2022. Before that he spent 10 years working as station manager for KPRD Praise Radio 88.9 FM, a local Christian Radio Station based in Hays, KS. He began to feel God’s call towards pastoral ministry in the past couple of years and in May of 2022, door after door down this path began to open. As Dave tells the story, “I felt like I was on a conveyor belt as God pulled me along. It was exciting and amazing to watch how God led through it all.”

Dave has been taking seminary classes at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary on the path for a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling. 

Dave and his wife Alicia have been married for 13 years, have three kids, two girls and a boy.

His favorite Bible verse includes the words of Jesus in John 5:24:

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”
