Simon Peter was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. He probably was the oldest of the bunch and quickly emerged as one of the most courageous and faithful followers of Jesus. But his spiritual journey wasn't an easy one. He could be impulsive, often leaping into action foolishly instead of relying on the wisdom and truth of Jesus' teachings. Over the next several Sundays, all three NOCC pastors (Dave, Dustin, & Josh) will take turns exploring several passages from the Gospels that deal with Simon Peter. Each of these passages offers us an important life lesson for the kind of disciples Jesus is calling us to be.
