Vacation Bible School:

We are busy planning this summer’s Amazon Expedition  (a.k.a. Vacation Bible School) for June 9th-13^th from 9am-noon.  The children will be learning about unique plants, animals, and Indian tribes that are found in the Amazon rainforest.

     Did you know that the Amazon River Basin is as big as the continental U.S.?  Or that there is a pink dolphin that lives in the freshwater of the Amazon River and that it can turn its head from side to side?      

     Why do you think people all over the world, like the Waimiri Atroari people of the rainforest, have stories about a great flood and a being who punishes disobedience? Because we are all great-great-great-great-great……..grandchildren of Noah !

     While the children are learning about the rainforest they will also be learning that from the beginning, God planned to send a perfect sacrifice, Jesus, who would pay for the sin of mankind once and for all. Monday’s lessons will begin with God’s creation of heaven and earth which He called “good”. Tuesday through Thursday  the children will learn about sin and its effects.  Friday’s lesson will tell the children about a new heaven and earth which will one day again be “good” and that God’s desire is that no one perish.
